Thank you for attending the 62nd ASA! We hope you have had a great CPD experience, reconnecting with old friends and colleagues and taking away relevant learning pearls to apply in your practices.

 

Fill Out Your Evaluation for a Chance to WIN!
If you have not yet completed your session evaluations please do so by using the links below. Your feedback is invaluable to our staff and ASA Planning Committee when planning future ASAs. With each daily evaluation you fill out, your name will be entered in a draw for a chance to win one of 10 prizes: $250 Visa card (one available); $100 Visa card (two available); and a $25 gourmet coffee card (seven available).

Certification Information.

This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Alberta Chapter for up to 12.50 Mainpro+ credits.

Please note that Direct Credit Entry is no longer available.

Certificates of Attendance will be issued by email following the ASA. Remember to check your email Junk folder to ensure the message was not delivered to that folder. Report your credits earned through the CFPC’s online reporting portal, as per the sessions you attended at the ASA. Credit allotment is 1 credit per 1 hour of learning, to a maximum of 12.5 credits.

Note: Group Learning Level 2 (2 credits per hour Group Learning) and Ancillary Session credits are separate from ASA credits. Certificates of Attendance for those programs are distributed by the provider. Also expect to receive a link to 62nd ASA presentations and handouts from those speakers who have agreed to share their materials.

My name is Smitha Yaltho and I feel privileged to work as a family physician. Why? I believe that being a family physician has been the best job any physician can hope to have. I have personally grown in my own abilities and skill-sets with diverse opportunities in ambulatory practice, acute care and work in Facility Living.  Working in primary care has been exciting and has also afforded me tremendous opportunities for growth while still remaining stimulating in its complexity.  I believe that Family physicians are trusted partners in patient care –  every step of the way. 

Why are you volunteering to serve on this committee?
I currently have an interest in Physician Leadership and  trauma informed care.  I have served as a director with the Board of Directors with the Edmonton North PCN, Edmonton’s largest PCN. Thereafter, I have worked as the Director of Medical Services with CapitalCare (also based in Edmonton) for almost 6 years. It is my express wish that my contribution on the ACFP board of directors will highlight the excellence of family medicine that exists right here and now within the Alberta health care system. 

What about the ACFP’s work do you find most valuable?
Ability to highlight and further support the excellence of primary care right here in Alberta.
