About the Study
Enhancing Alberta Primary Care Research Networks (EnACt), led by Dr. Lee Green, is conducting a qualitative research study seeking to understand the thinking and decision-making processes that take place when family physicians and pharmacists manage chronic opioid therapy for those with chronic pain and/or substance use disorders. This study is a partnership between EnACt and ACFP and is funded through a Health Canada Substance Use and Chronic Pain federal grant.
It has received REB approval: Pro00113795.
The Ask
We would like to interview family physicians and pharmacists to know more about their role and thinking within the process of managing chronic opioid therapy or OAT.
The Commitment
This would take one hour of your time and take place over Zoom video conferencing. You may also be invited to participate in a focus group; this would take two hours of your time, and take place by Zoom. You will also be required to fill out a brief demographic’s questionnaire; taking less than 5 min. Honorariums will be offered for your time.
