The Alberta College of Family Physicians joins its cross-disciplinary colleagues in urging the government to re-evaluate its recent announcement on COVID-19 immunization program to ensure all Albertans have access to vaccines. Prevention is one of the core tenants of family medicine, and the evidence overwhelmingly shows that vaccination is one of our most effective and cost-effective preventative measures.
“Family physicians want the best for their patients, said ACFP President, Dr. Melanie Hnatiuk. “Ensuring that vaccines are accessible and available to all populations regardless of their financial position is paramount to keeping Albertans safe.”
