This webinar is designed to support physicians and their teams in caring for patients with Monkeypox by providing information on testing, vaccination, clinical management, and an update on cases in Alberta. It will respond to common and emerging questions from community providers about Monkeypox. Participants will have time to ask questions related to managing patients including:
- How Monkeypox cases are currently presenting in Alberta
- What guidance is available to ensure physicians feel confident assessing patients
- Advice and support for testing, vaccinating, and treating patients
All Alberta community physicians and clinic staff who are interested in learning more about Monkeypox are invited to join this session. We encourage physicians to share the webinar details with their clinic staff who may be assisting patients calling the clinic inquiring about Monkeypox.
Learning Objectives:
- At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Explain what Monkeypox is, how it’s transmitted, and signs and symptoms of Monkeypox
