As part of the Government of Alberta’s announcement, the Alberta Find a Doctor website has officially transitioned to the new URL, AlbertaFindaProvider.ca. The said site is now live. This evolution reinforces Primary Care Alberta’s collective commitment to team-based care and appropriate provider matching, helping patients connect with the right provider, at the right time, for their needs.
All current information will redirect seamlessly to the updated site, which now offers:
- Improved navigation and enhanced search capabilities, making it easier for Albertans to find a family doctor, nurse practitioner or clinic accepting new patients
- A new link to the Alberta Association of Midwives directory, supporting pregnant patients in accessing registered midwifery care across the province
- Minimal disruption for current users and providers: Logins, workflows and profile management are unchanged, with existing information transferring to the new site
- A new support email: afapinfo@primarycarealberta.ca.
Since 2019, the Alberta Find a Doctor website has helped Albertans connect with family doctors, nurse practitioners and clinics. Primary Care Alberta assumed ownership in Dec. 2025 and has been working with Primary Care Networks and partner organizations to enhance and expand the services available.
