What's New at ACFP
We Are the Voice of Family Physicians in Alberta
Established in 1954, the Alberta College of Family Physicians (ACFP) is the provincial chapter of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). It is a professional voluntary organization, representing more than 6,000 family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students in Alberta.
At the ACFP, we focus on member services and engagement by supporting family physicians in their continuing professional development needs, advocacy, leadership, and primary care research.

What We Do
The ACFP supports certification of our members by providing continuing professional development (CPD) and upholding the established standards for CPD delivery. We advocate on behalf of our members to advance excellence of family practice, define and celebrate the role of family medicine and family practice as the foundation of our health care system, and work to ensure Albertans can access high quality care from family physicians.
